Our Guest Minister, Rev. Dan King, lived as a young adult in Houston and Austin for a dozen years without experiencing any hurricanes or other major disasters. Since he and his wife returned to Houston 5 years ago, they have shared with us the stresses of Harvey and the pandemic. In this service he shares some perspectives on the theological impact of personal catastrophe in our lives.
Rev. Dan, graduate of Rice University and U.T. law school, made a mid-life career change from law to ministry. He recently retired as Minister Emeritus of the First UU Church of Houston after over 30 years of service to multiple UU churches and organizations in SC, NC, CA, GA, MA, VA, and Houston.
