My Unitarian Universalist Journey

In her book “Traveling Mercies”, Anne Lamott describes her coming to faith as “…..a series of staggers from what seemed like one safe place to another.  Like lily pads, round and green, these places summoned and then held me up while I grew.  Each prepared me for the next leaf on which I would land, and in this way I moved across the swamp of doubt and fear”.  Gerry will share her own journey to and through Unitarian Universalism.
Gerry found Unitarian Universalism about 30 years ago.  She was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Galveston County for more than twenty years, serving on the board (twice a President), lead of the Program Committee, and Chalice Circle group facilitator.  She joined Bay Area Unitarian Universalist Church in 2016.  She has served as Board President and small group facilitator.  She is a Worship Associate and Greeter.  She lives in Dickinson with her partner Woody and is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She has worked in Brain Injury Rehabilitation since 1996.
