Weekly Email Backup Volunteer
Help keep our congregation informed! We have a volunteer who prepares our weekly email on Tuesdays, and we’re looking for a backup to cover when she’s unavailable. Alternating weeks with our existing volunteer may also be an option.
Duties
- Use our existing email format to assemble announcements, event information, and images.
- Check dates, links, and formatting before sending.
- Coordinate with the church administrator to make sure the email is ready on time.
A good fit for: Someone who enjoys organizing information and has an eye for details.
Computer skills: Comfortable using email and websites, copying and pasting text, and opening and saving files. Basic text formatting, such as changing headings or making text bold, is helpful. We’ll teach you how to use our email program and prepare the weekly email.
Time commitment and location: Approximately 2–3 hours on Tuesdays when coverage is needed, with practice opportunities during training. Work can be done in the church office; working from home may also be possible once you’re comfortable with the job.
Interested? Contact the church administrator to discuss your interests and availability. We’ll talk through the role, provide training, and help you get started!
