TXUUJM Solidarity Summit

The Texas UU Justice Ministry, UU the Vote, and Side with Love are so excited to welcome you to Texas, alongside UU congregations from across Houston and our state and local justice partners. This is a powerful chance to come together in solidarity and skill-building, in a crucial state for defending democracy, human rights, and the planet. All welcome!

Come for the whole weekend if you can, or just one or two days if time is limited. After you fill out the form, TXUUJM will follow-up soon with the full agenda, opportunities for carpooling, home hospitality, childcare, and more.

WEEKEND OVERVIEW:

Friday night, Oct. 2: Kilgore Lecture keynote by renowned Texas journalist Chris Tomlinson, plus welcome reception and music by Houston folk singer Mary Hammer. Location: Emerson UU Church in Houston.

Saturday, Oct. 3: Solidarity Summit programming with TXUUJM, UU the Vote, and justice partners all day, including skill-building workshops, food, fellowship, music, and speakers at First UU Church of Houston.

Sunday morning, Oct. 4: Pulpit swap with Houston UU congregations! Ministers from Houston UU churches will swap pulpits, so you can visit one of several UU churches for worship — or if you live in Houston, stay in your home church, welcome visitors and a guest minister!
