Hispanic Heritage Month Sunday Lunch

Join us on Sunday, September 27 at 12:30pm for our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, shining a special spotlight on Guatemala—a country with deep ties to its ancient heritage and vibrant culture.

From the legacy of the Maya civilization to the colorful textiles, music, and festivals that fill its towns today, Guatemala stands as a powerful example of cultural resilience and pride. Its people honor their roots while embracing modern creativity, creating a dynamic blend of past and present.

The menu will feature Guatemalan dishes prepared by a native Guatemalan, along with a few other favorites and vegetarian options. The event will also include an original documentary, My Life in an ICE Concentration Camp, written, directed, and produced by BAUUC members. A Q&A will follow the screening.
