Meet ‘n’ Eat Women-Aligned Lunch
At Meet ‘n’ Eat, we bring women together for delicious meals and great company every Tuesday at at 11:30am at various local restaurants. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time guest, our doors are always open for you to join in the fun and connect with like-minded individuals. So come hungry and leave happy with new friends and full bellies!
Know Your Rights Worshop
 The times they are a changin’. To ensure that people are aware of their constitutional rights regardless of immigration status, Hispanics Advancing Culture and Education(HACE) will host a townhall meeting on March 25 starting at 6:30 PM. This is an opportunity to connect with the community in a meaningful way. Attorneys and other knowledgeable individuals will be present to answer questions regarding legal and community resources. Your participation is vital in strengthening our collective resilience. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the church office at  [email protected] .
Day Trip to ISKON – The International Society of Krishna
The day trip to the Turkish Roadhouse and Congregation Beth Yeshuran were unable to accommodate us for a tour, so we are changing the venue to visit ISKCON, the International Society of Krishna for a tour at 10:30AM in the Heights. Lunch will be served in their cafe at a 15% discount. After lunch we hope to visit the Villa de Martel Convent run by the Sisters of Charity. NOTE: Due to the timing of the tour at ISKCON, the Harris County Precinct 2 bus will need to pick up those of us 55 and older at the church at...
Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga classes will resume on Monday, January 6th, 2025, and all are welcome to join! Classes will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Cockrell Hall. Sheila Conner will lead the sessions, bringing fresh, new ideas to enhance your yoga experience. To ensure safety on the linoleum floors, please bring slip-resistant socks (available on Amazon at reasonable prices) and a yoga mat.
