Interfaith Women’s Pilgrimage

10/05/2019 - 10/08/2019

Our country continues to see a mix of exclusionary racial and religious sentiments. As Unitarian Universalists, we know that it is important to keep connecting and healing, and building
interfaith communities. A group of about a dozen local women—UUs, Jews, Muslims, Christians and others—is planning to come together and travel to the Alabama Civil Rights Trail
during the week of October 5-8, 2019. We will visit sites in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Selma, and hope to inspire others with our bonding and understanding across religious and
racial divides as only women can do. Four of the travelers are from BAUUC. In order to commit to the journey, some of the women will need financial assistance. The trip will cost $750 per traveler. Please consider making a donation through to support this effort. Be sure to designate your gift to “Social Justice—Women’s Pilgrimage.” Any excess donations will be forwarded to the Houston Coalition Against Hate.
