Interfaith Service for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

A host of diverse religious communities and clergy in the Clear Lake area and beyond will be coming together right here at BAUUC on Sunday January 20 at 6:00pm for a special Interfaith Service to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  This unique gathering will include leaders from Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Druid, Unity, Humanist and Unitarian Universalist communities in the southeast Houston area who will offer readings, prayers, stories, songs and meditations from their traditions as part of the service. This interfaith event, being organized by Rev. Bruce Beisner, will be an opportunity to celebrate our shared commitments to affirm respect for all people and to work to overcome what divides us through acts and words of love and compassion. Please plan to join us on the evening of January 20.
