Foreign Policy Speaker Series – Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking

Date
03/03/2020

Throughout the month of March, our Great Decisions Foreign Policy Series is presenting weekly discussion groups here at the church every Thursday on a variety of topics of importance in our world today. We are pleased to be partnering this year with our friends from Webster Presbyterian Church to present discussions at their congregation each week in addition to the discussions happening here at BAUUC. The Great Decisions series is also presenting several special guest speakers on topics related to these discussions on Tuesday nights this month. These presentations are free and open to the public.

On Tuesday March 3 at 7:00pm, we will welcome Sargent Louis Carballo from the Vice Division Training and Special Projects Division of the Houston Police Department. Sargent Carballo will be speaking about “Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking” and efforts here in Texas to combat forced servitude, kidnapping and the sex trade.
