Exploring Diversity Book Group

Each month, BAUUC members and friends gather to explore the experiences of others and grow in their understandings of the beautiful diversity of people and their stories. The Exploring Diversity Book Group is currently reading “The Making of a Racist: A Southerner Reflects on Family, History and the Slave Trade” by Charles B. Dew. In the book, one of America’s most respected historians of the South turns the focus on his own life, which began in a society completely committed to segregation. The group will gather to discuss “The Making of a Racist” and share their own stories and perspectives on Thursday October 24 at 1:30pm in the church library.
