Day Trip to the Sea Center in Lake Jackson

Our last day-trip for the summer is to the  Sea Center in Lake Jackson.  This is the famous marine aquarium that hatches and stocks fish for our Texas lakes, rivers and the Gulf.  It has six aquariums and a fish hatchery.   Reservations have been made for a tour of the hatchery on Friday, June 28 at 11am so the bus will pick us up at the church at 9:45am.  Admission is free, but donations are accepted.  Afterwards we will lunch at the Red Snapper Inn in Freeport.  If time allows we will go to the historical museum in Lake Jackson after lunch.  This trip is open to seniors 55 and older and the cost is $5 for transportation and lunch is in our own.  A sign up sheet is available in Cockrell Hall.  For more information, contact LaVerne Nash
