Retired Foreign Services Officer Richard Sindelar


Richard Sindelar, retired Foreign Service Officer and Professor of International Studies, University of St. Thomas (Houston), will speak at BAUUC on Tuesday February 13 as part of the eight-week Great Decisions U. S. foreign policy discussion program. Mr. Sindelar will address the Waning of Relative Peace Through-Out the Western Hemisphere and the World (Pax Americana) Sindelar served more than 22 years as a diplomatic officer with the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service.  His overseas posts from 1974-1995 included Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Montreal, Mexico, Cairo and Cuba, as well as a peacekeeping tour at the Sinai Field Mission. His University of St. Thomas courses focus on American foreign policy, international security, international law and global trade. The talk will begin at 7:00pm in the church sanctuary.
